Brighton Stitch creates thoughtfully made bags, accessories and textile commissions from beautiful natural and repurposed fabrics.
I help people who value craftsmanship, individuality and conscious buying find practical pieces that feel personal, whether that's a one-of-a-kind everyday bag, a bespoke laptop sleeve or a treasured textile transformed into something useful.
Everything is designed and sewn by hand in Brighton using carefully chosen materials, often giving overlooked fabrics a long and useful second life. My aim is simple: to create beautiful, practical objects that are made to be used, loved and kept.

The Shoreham Tote celebrates simplicity. Made from rich navy linen, its clean lines and uncluttered design are inspired by the calm, deep waters of Shoreham Harbour and the quiet confidence of carrying only what you need.
Soft enough to fold under your arm yet spacious enough for everyday life, it moves easily between work, shopping, travel and weekends away. The laundered linen drapes beautifully and becomes softer with every use.
Each bag is individually cut and sewn in small batches, making every piece slightly unique.

Although large enough to fit many laptops, I designed the Shoreham Tote as a relaxed everyday bag rather than a dedicated laptop bag. Its soft drape is part of its character, so I prefer to use it for lighter everyday essentials.
It folds flat too, making it easy to tuck into a suitcase when travelling.

Materials
The outer is made from premium pure linen that has been pre-washed.
This linen is excellent quality and made from strong natural flax fibre.
The natural cream linen blend lining creates a quiet contrast with the deep navy exterior while allowing the bag to be completely reversible.
From Natural Fibre to Everyday Favourite
Linen is one of nature's most durable fibres. Rather than wearing out, it softens and develops character over time, making each Shoreham Tote uniquely yours.
Its relaxed drape, subtle texture and natural creasing are all part of what makes laundered linen so distinctive. The more it is carried, the more comfortably it becomes part of everyday life.
Care Instructions
Wash at 30°C using a non-biological detergent. Use a colour catcher just in case there is residue indigo.
Do not tumble dry.
Shake the bag into shape after washing and dry flat.
Linen naturally tightens after washing, but the fibres relax again as the bag is used.
Never dry linen in direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may gradually fade the colour.

A one-of-a-kind laptop sleeve handmade from carefully selected Liberty cotton fabric remnants and pale blue denim.
The front features a quilted design created from small pieces of Liberty print, giving new life to beautiful fabrics that might otherwise have gone to waste. The reverse is finished in soft pale blue denim, providing a calm contrast to the patchwork front.
Inside, the sleeve is lined with lilac Liberty cotton and padded with foam for structure and protection. A metal zip closure keeps your laptop secure whilst allowing easy access.
Designed to fit many 13-inch laptops, this sleeve combines practical protection with thoughtful craftsmanship and the charm of repurposed textiles.

Each Brighton Stitch piece is individually made in small batches using reclaimed and carefully sourced textiles, celebrating quality fabrics and giving them a second life.
Brocante Bleu Pouch
A one-of-a-kind patchwork pouch inspired by French brocante finds and faded blue country linens.
Handmade from reclaimed French bed linen and carefully selected cotton fabrics, Brocante Bleu combines soft blue florals, checks and vintage-inspired prints, with two Liberty of London floral fabrics at its centre.
Each panel has been individually pieced and lightly quilted, creating subtle texture and character whilst celebrating the beauty of repurposed textiles. The gentle blue and cream palette gives the pouch a calm, timeless feel.
Finished with an antique brass-effect zip, Brocante Bleu is a useful size for cosmetics, travel essentials, stationery, sewing supplies, glasses or the small things that otherwise disappear into the bottom of a larger bag.
Like all Brighton Stitch pieces, Brocante Bleu is handmade in Brighton using thoughtfully chosen reclaimed and repurposed textiles. Because I work with existing cloth rather than producing fabric to order, each piece is individual.

Every textile begins with a purpose.
When that purpose ends, it doesn’t mean the story is over.
The West Pier was repurposed as a bird sanctuary and iconic landmark. I repurpose stair runners into jute tote bags.
My pieces are made from what already exists, reworked with care into something useful again.
Practical objects, made slowly, from materials that still have life in them.
