The colours reflect the soft greens, wildflowers and sense of space around Devil’s Dyke. Carefully selected fabric remnants are pieced together and softly quilted, creating a pouch with texture, character and enough structure for everyday use.
Inside, South Downs is fully lined with Liberty of London lawn cotton, bringing an unexpected flourish of colour every time you unzip it.
It’s a useful size for organising cosmetics, sewing supplies, stationery, travel essentials or the small treasures that deserve a place of their own.
Like all Brighton Stitch pieces, South Downs is handmade in Brighton using thoughtfully chosen reclaimed and repurposed textiles. Because I work with existing cloth rather than producing fabric to order, each piece is individual.
