A vivid, one-of-a-kind oversized tote made from a woven wool blanket bought at an artisan market in the Peruvian Andes.
El Altiplano takes its name from the high plateau of the central Andes. Its intense cobalt blue, jewel-bright stripes and intricate woven motifs make this a joyful statement bag, whilst its generous size keeps it thoroughly useful.
The wool cloth is lined in plain black cotton, giving the colourful exterior a calm, practical interior. Long patterned handles allow the bag to sit comfortably over the shoulder.
Made for everyday carrying, El Altiplano has room for work essentials, shopping, a day at the beach, craft projects or everything needed for an overnight stay. It also folds relatively flat when not in use, making it useful for travel.
Only one bag is available to order from the remaining piece of this special textile.
The bag shown in the photographs is my original sample and is not for sale. Your bag will be made to the same design and dimensions using another section of the blanket. The placement of the stripes and woven motifs will vary very slightly.
Please allow 1-2 days for your bag to be made.
